RESPONSIBILITIES – Job Summary

The Project Manager plans, directs, coordinates, and budgets projects for both national and international projects.  Participates and leads the team, using both internal and external resources. Responsible for the organization, scheduling and implementation of the projects.  Builds strong relationships with both the internal team and external customer.  Promotes quality services and positive relations.  This individual would be responsible for overall management of subcontractors, scheduling, performance decisions, field construction oversight, and developing and documenting the overall project method statement. Up to 35% travel required, which can be a combination of daily trips or overnight stays. ACTIVITY – Project ManagementTime Allocation: ~ 45%
  • Establish, maintain, and manage schedules as they pertain to procurement, logistics and execution for multiple, and concurrent construction projects.
  • Manage budgets for multiple construction projects; complete projects on time and under budget.
  • Work with Contracts and Estimating Department to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect Company's interest. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients.
  • Initiate and maintain continual communication with owners, general contractors, and other project stakeholders to facilitate project activities.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of Company policy and contract specifications, including OSHA requirements.
  • Develop material take-off and requisition of all necessary supplies, materials and subcontractors to complete project.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with functional leaders, team members, and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and facilitate the resolution of potential timeline, task, budget and resource issues.
  • Ensure prioritization and timeline alignment between Company and external customers.
  • Commitment to accomplishing overall Customer Satisfaction with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and project expectations.
  • Up to 35% travel required based upon number of projects assigned, job site expectations, both international and domestic. Travel can be a combination of daily trips, or a combination of overnight stays, based on job location.
 
ACTIVITY – Project PlanningTime Allocation: ~ 45%
  • Lead the safety culture for the project.
  • Responsible for controlling costs and maintaining profitability for each project.
  • Manage field construction activity, engineering and other field project support activities.
  • Supervise the development of project schedules and monitor production to assure timely project completion.
  • Review cost reports and make analysis to assist in reducing costs and maintain productivity.
  • Establish project labor requirements and review these requirements with leadership.
  • Conduct regular project inspections and advise project supervision of work progress, safety concerns, quality of work and conditions requiring attention.
  • Coordinates work with subcontractors to ensure all subcontract work is within project scope and specifications.
  • Administers project policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with architects, inspectors, and client/owners’ representatives to isolate project issues and assists in developing solutions.
  • Regularly conduct safety meetings and provide assistance in addressing areas and conditions requiring attention.
  • Continually monitor project to assure company and regulatory procedures are adhered to. Monitor project purchasing activities to assure quality material and timely delivery at competitive costs.
  • Conduct regular meetings to review project progress and to plan future construction activity.
  • Oversight of project Quality Control.
 
ACTIVITY – Team Veritas Time Allocation: ~ 10%
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings.
  • Support cross functional team initiatives.
  • Close communication with Sales Team.
  • Serve as brand ambassador of Veritas. Participate in customer visits and create and develop excellent relationships with key contacts in order to develop deeper insights to how we can better support our strategic customers and grow as a dynamic team.

Required Skills
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years Commercial Construction Management experience
  • Knowledge of architecture/engineering/construction management; Ability to interpret blueprints, structural drawings, plan sets and construction specifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of Gantt Charts, schedule and project management software, Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams. NetSuite experience a plus.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; Ability to operate independently.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; Able to establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly; Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully (written and oral) with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Professional approach with unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character; Demonstrates high moral and ethical behavior.
  • A proven track record of organizing project team to accomplish project goals.
  • Well-rounded base of knowledge in construction disciplines.
